Detached 3 car Garage with 1 bedroom Apartment

This client owns and operates a successful funeral home business. They were in need of extra space for their business vehicles. They also desired space for living on the grounds. The idea of a large detached garage with an apartment above was pursued. What we had to start with was an existing garage foundation. The borough would not let us tear it down because of its proximity to the street. As a result, we built the garage with living space around the existing foundation. Our design allowed no load from the new structure to be placed on the existing foundation. It is a true work of art. After several drawings, many consultations lots of hard work we finished this beautiful building that incorporates a 3 car garage on the first floor and a 1 bedroom apartment on the second floor that or client rents out.
